What is the minimum amount I can borrow?
The minimum amount we will lend on suitable security is $500.00
What is the minimum term you will lend over?
The minimum term we will lend over is 6 months on any amount over $500.00
What is the maximum term you will lend over?
The maximum term we will lend over is 3 years but this only applies to larger loans usually $4000.00 and over
What is the interest rate?
We try to match credit card rates but our rates vary depending on your credit history and security.
What is photo ID?
NZ Drivers Licence or Passport.
Do I need security for a loan?
Yes
What security can I use?
We will consider using security of a vehicle that is fully insured, has a current WOF (warrant of fitness) and is currently registered. We also lend on household furniture and appliances. These security items do need to be freehold** and for larger amounts we will look at using security of a property that has equity available.

Do I need to own the security I’m using for my loan?
Yes
I’m already using the security on another loan can I use it for this loan as well?
No
Can I sell the item I’m using as security?
No
If I use a car as security does it need to have insurance and Warrant of Fitness (WoF)?
Yes at all times and insurance needs to be full cover not 3rd party
What are chattels?
Household furniture
How will I know my application has been sent?
You will receive a confirmation e-mail – please check your junk or spam folder if you don’t receive one within 5 minutes of submitting your application
When should I call the office to see how my loan application is going?
At least 30 minutes after submitting your application
When will I get the money into my account?
Within 24 hours for applications made on weekdays. For applications made over the weekend the money will be in your account overnight on Monday
Are you open at weekends?
No – our office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm. We are also closed on public holidays
Do I have to live in New Zealand to apply for a loan?
Yes
Can I borrow if I’m not a New Zealand permanent resident or citizen?
No
If I’ve been declared bankrupt, insolvent or NAP can I still get a loan?
No
What is bankrupt?
Bankrupt is where you have been unable to pay your debts and it’s imposed by a court order
What is insolvent?
Insolvent is where you have been unable to meet your financial obligations with a previous lender
What is NAP?
No Asset Procedure (NAP) is where you have a total debt of between $1,000 – $4,000 and have no ability to repay any amount towards the debt
What happens if I fail to maintain my loan repayments?
If you are unable to maintain your loan repayments you must contact the office. We will do our best to help you work through the situation without the stress of possible recovery action
What happens if I miss a payment
If you miss a payment you will be contacted by phone or letter.
